Special Education Law Information

The laws regarding special education at both the State and Federal levels can be confusing and difficult to navigate.  As an advocate, I strive to stay current on new legislation regarding children’s educational rights so that they may continue to receive the services they deserve.

The three main legislative actions, which provide parents and students rights, are:

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA)

Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act

No Child Left Behind (NCLB)
